Preparing for Your Signing Ceremony

As we prepare for your Signing Ceremony, we want to make this process as smooth and seamless as possible for you.

What to Expect

Your Signing Ceremony is where your estate plan becomes official.

During this meeting:

  • You will review and sign your estate planning documents
  • Your documents will be properly notarized
  • We will guide you through each step to ensure everything is executed correctly so your plan works when your family needs it

A Few Things to Have Ready

To keep everything efficient, please plan to have:

  • A valid, government-issued ID
  • Two witnesses available (if you are providing your own)

If you would like us to coordinate witnesses for you, just let us know.

Before Your Signing Ceremony

Approximately 3–5 days before your Signing Ceremony, you will receive a summary of your estate plan.

We intentionally provide a summary rather than the full set of documents. Estate plans are comprehensive, and most clients don’t have the time or desire to review 100+ pages in advance. Reviewing a full plan often slows down progress without adding clarity.

Instead, we will walk you through everything during your Signing Ceremony so you feel informed and confident in what you’re signing.

Updates Before Signing

If there are any updates to your decisions (such as changes to beneficiaries or fiduciaries), please let us know as soon as possible so we can incorporate them before printing your plan and attending your Signing Ceremony.

We’re looking forward to helping you finalize your plan and put these protections in place for you and your loved ones.
